READ: 1 Kings 8:54-61
“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” – Matthew 24:35
Let me share with you today, four reasons why the Bible can be trusted.
1. The Bible can be trusted because promises made generations earlier have been kept.
“Blessed be the Lord, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.” – 1 Kings 8:56
2. The Bible can be trusted because God stands by His Word until it comes to pass.
“Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.” – Jeremiah 1:12
3. The Bible can be trusted because it is unchanging in a changing world.
“But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.” – 1 Peter 1:25
4. Heaven and earth will pass away but the Word of God will remain forever.
“Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.” – Luke 21:33
The Word of God is indeed the most trustworthy guidebook in this world.
