1. When you are humble like a servant, you are happy and willing to do menial jobs. When you lose this humility you are no longer willing to do menial jobs.

When you are humble like a servant you are prepared to do menial jobs. To do a menial job is to be an attendant, a waiter, a cleaner, a security man, a watchman, a factory hand, a secretary, a data officer, a messenger or an odd-job man. These are all menial jobs.
As you go higher in the Lord you must not think of yourself as being above any job. You must be prepared to work and toil in any capacity, doing mean and lowly jobs. That means you must be prepared to work in the toilet, in the kitchen or on the construction yard. A pastor must be ready to do domestic work and not think that anything is degrading, demeaning or ignoble.
